At Grizedale
Jesse and Matt worked collaboratively on a project for Romantic
Detachment called 'Under Island' in which they trawled New York
City's East River for clues to a fictional investigation,
presenting the findings within PS1. Both artists also worked at
Grizedale contributing a floating wreck to the water sculpture park
for the Coniston Water Festival in 2005.
For Jesse the successful and fruitful residency was somewhat marred
at the end by a bit of an emotional outburst.
Matt also took part in other artists projects during his time in Coniston, notably Olivia Plender’s Kibbo Kift march alongside Ken Russell.
